To commemorate 60 years of the English Electric Type 4 Diesel Locomotive (Class 40) and the inaugural run by D200 in April 1958, The East Lancashire Railway have organised the 40’s @ 60 event.
The event should see no less than 5 Class 40’s in action. Including;
D200 will feature at the event, courtesy of the National Railway Museum. The loco will be a static display throughout the event at Bury Bolton Street Station.
The cab of 40088, the official Sales stand for the Class 40 Preservation Society will also be on display and open for sales business throughout the event.
The event is to be hosted over the weekend of April 13, 14 and 15 at The East Lancashire Railway.
