A Really Good Day at The ELR yesterday..!
40135 had its first scamper out since September,
40012 had a successful test run on the Heywood Branch,
A total of 52 people attended the CFPS photoshoots AND
6 x Class 40 Locomotives were lined up together for the first time in over 30 years of Preservation.
The attached photo shows Andania owner SHAUN WRIGHT and James Bottomley of The CFPS Engineering Team having a leg stretch near Heywood.
In the background, our marvellous engineering officer Lee Kenny clambers into the cab of 40145 prior to it hauling 37109, 40135 and 40012 back to Bury.
If this has wet your appetite for class 40 action, later today 40145 will be available for a 4 mile drive on the Bury to Heywood section of The ELR.
The cost per 4 mile drive is £100 and we have some driving slots still available if anyone wishes to book one.
I will be on the platform at Bury for most of the day today sorting out the bookings already received.
If you would like to have a drive of 40145, either look for me on the platform at Bury Bolton Street during the day OR, please phone me on 075 000 40145 if you want to nab one of the driving slots still available.
