The corrosion on 40145’s bodywork has now been attended too.
The MANY affected areas can be identified by the light green coloured blotches of prima scattered about the loco like a patchwork quilt.
The LSL welder has done a marvellous job for us and the loco has now been moved into the paint shop.
A couple of images of 40145 in the paint shop showing the commencement of its makeover will appear on The CFPS website in the next day or so.
A HUGE “Thank you” to everyone who has made a donation to the CFPS in recent weeks which has helped to make this work possible.
